Privacy Policy

Posa is a pose and location photography guide. This policy explains what information Posa accesses, why it is needed, and the choices available to you.
Information Posa accesses
Camera
Camera access is used to display the live viewfinder and take photos. Pose guides are drawn locally on your screen. Posa does not upload your live camera feed or captured photos to our servers.
Photos
Photo access lets you save pictures and review photos in your device library. Photos remain in your device library and are not uploaded to Posa.
Location
When you choose “Near me,” your approximate or precise location is used on your device to sort photo spots by distance. Posa does not send your device location to our API or retain location history.
Preferences
Your language choice, onboarding status, camera settings, selected guide, saved places, and imported personal guides are stored locally on your device.
App analytics and crash reports
Posa uses Google Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to understand how the app is used and to fix crashes. Analytics records in-app events such as which screen was opened, which built-in pose guide was selected, and whether a photo was saved, together with a random app-instance identifier, app version, device model, operating system, and approximate country derived from the network. Crash reports include the error, stack trace, and device state at the time of the crash.
These reports never include your photos, camera feed, imported guide images, guide names, or device location. Posa does not use the advertising identifier, does not track you across other companies' apps or websites, and does not link this data to your identity. Google processes this data on our behalf under the Firebase privacy terms.
Network and operational data
Posa contacts 9me.top to download pose and location content. Like most online services, our hosting provider may process standard request information such as IP address, request time, and requested path for security, abuse prevention, and reliability. We do not use this information for advertising or user profiling.
Third-party services
If you choose to open directions, Posa opens Google Maps or another map application installed on your device. Their privacy terms apply after you leave Posa. Analytics and crash reporting are provided by Google Firebase as described above. Apple and Google may also process app distribution, crash, and device information according to their own platform policies.
Retention and deletion
Posa does not create user accounts or store your photos, camera feed, or location history on its servers. You can remove all locally stored Posa data at any time with Settings → Delete my data, which also resets the analytics identifier so new events are no longer associated with earlier ones. Deleting the app has the same effect on local data. Firebase Analytics data is retained for up to 14 months and crash reports for up to 90 days. Operational server logs are automatically rotated and retained only as needed for security and service reliability. You may contact us to ask a privacy question or request deletion of any information you believe is associated with you.
Children
Posa is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
We may update this policy as Posa evolves. The effective date above will change when a revision is published.
